LGBT+ Pastoral Provision - Cardinal Vincent has mandated us to develop pastoral provision for LGBT+ Catholics, parents and families in Westminster Diocese. This means that pastoral provision should not ONLY focus on Mass-attendance, but also develop our awareness of the Church’s teaching on sexuality, not least as expressed by our own local Church in England & Wales. This helps us to integrate our faith and sexuality with conscientious integrity. It continues to surprise how poorly understood is the Church’s developing understanding of human sexuality and gender identity, as well as our historical contexts, even by clergy and pastoral workers.
